Personal Touches to add to your Wedding Day
Flatter your guests with a personalized wedding experience...
Nowadays there are so many ways to customize your wedding and its FUN, so why not right?!
During the planning process with one of my previous clients, the bride insisted on having the groom’s favorite ice cream served after dinner. She informed me he was not a cake person and Ben & Jerry’s Strawberry shortcake flavored ice cream was his ultimate favorite! I thought it was so sweet to incorporate this into their wedding reception. We set up an ice cream bar & the caterer scooped individual cups for the guests to enjoy after the cake cutting.
If your significant other loves cigars, why not have a cigar rolling experience pre-ceremony for the groomsmen and family?
Do you have amazing fur babies that you want to be apart of your big day? You could name a signature cocktail after them or have them be apart of your post ceremony photos?
Speaking of Signature cocktails, I could do an entire seperate blog post on this topic because I love them that much! Most couples pick a “His” and a “Hers” cocktail. The best part is coming up with creative names for them that relate to the couple or theme of the wedding.
If you and your partner love to travel, you can have a globe for your guests to sign instead of a traditional guest book. Table numbers can be places around the world verses the typical table numbers. Wedding favors Can be customized monogrammed luggage tags to inspire your guests for their next trip? You get the picture.
Another way to personalize your wedding experience is through signage, a custom monogram or crest. With this option, you can have details such as custom bar napkins, bar signs, a GOBO, vinyl dancefloor and so much more!
Late night bites are also a great way to showcase your culture or favorite things. One of my groom’s was from El Salvador & he had Pupusas delivered to the venue for a late-night bit option. The guests loved it and appreciated another food option after they had been enjoying the bar for a couple hours. Another couple opted for Chick-fil-A with custom monogrammed stickers. I’ve also served whattaburger & placed sticker thank you notes that said “Oh Whatta-Night, thank you for coming!”
Other great sentimental ways to personalize your wedding day would be to have an “In loving Memory” table to honor loved ones that have passed. One of my brides had her father pass when she was younger. She played a very special slideshow of him during the time she was intended to have her father-daughter dance. There wasn’t a dry eye in the venue, it was incredibly touching.
You could also play a slideshow of your love story during cocktail hour or during your reception.
Welcome gifts can also be a great touch if you have guests traveling from out of town. The welcome gift would be delivered to your hotel prior to check in and can consist of so many personalized touches. You may want to suggest local attractions, feature the evolution your relationship with an insert card, stuff it with custom local gifts and so much more.
Wedding details can really enhance your guests experience when celebrating your big day.
Let’s make it a day they won’t forget!
With Love,
